Ultra – Low VOC
Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are emitted as gases from certain solids or liquids, they can have may have short- and long-term adverse health effects, as well as a environmental factor as being classed as a green house gas.

(Low VOC describes a product with VOC content at or below 150 g/L. Ultra-low-VOC products have VOC content below 50 g/L. Low-VOC products typically have little or no odor, They also help to maintain the quality of air indoors.)

HOW THE FIRE BARRIER WORKS

Intumescent coatings work by expanding as a result of exposure to a heat source, this expansion results in an increase in volume and decrease in density, which provides a thermal insulating protective barrier to the material it is applied to. Intumescent’s are typically used in passive fire protection and require listing, approval and compliance in their installed configurations in order to comply with the national building codes and laws.
